How Personal Branding Will Help You Grow or Sell More of Your Products
As a business founder or a great salesman, you always have to sell something. You may have a great idea and execute it, but at the end of this idea or business, you have to sell your product. If you don’t sell your product or services, there is no profit or revenue to continue your business. But in this article, we don’t teach you how to sell something; we are here to tell you how a personal brand will help you grow your sales through almost any marketing.
Just take a moment and think—you never see any marketing or advertising on TV or anywhere about Tesla or SpaceX. You never see any type of marketing or ads for these companies. But why? They have Elon Musk. Musk’s personal branding helped grow these companies, and everyone knows about them because of his personal branding.
Just look at some big companies where most don’t run any ads or marketing campaigns.
Boat sales statistics:
You may know about Aman Gupta, or you may not, but you have already heard about Boat, an Indian company that produces headphones or microphones. In one of his interviews, he mentioned that when he started his personal branding and people knew about him, his company’s sales increased by more than 300%. Just imagine the results.
You may have noticed that nowadays, most entrepreneurs have started their personal branding either through podcasts, YouTube, LinkedIn, or other social media. They already know how much help they will gain from personal branding. You know HubSpot, right? If you don’t, you can Google it to learn about the company.
They have a YouTube channel called My First Million, where they talk about new businesses and innovations. After people got to know them through personal branding, they reduced the ads they run on social media.
Actually, I support these new trends where most business owners or entrepreneurs have their personal brands. The reason is that we now know who owns the business, and we can connect with them easily.
We are human beings. We all have some unique skills—some of us are born with them, and some of us train ourselves to pursue skills in this competitive world to survive the competition. Then we use these skills to build our personal brands. So, how?
How to Grow Your Personal Brand
There are some steps to follow:
- Define a niche:
Just assume when we go shopping or think of a brand like Levi’s, which is famous for denim, not any other clothing. When you, as a human being, want to grow your personal branding, you must focus on a definite niche to grow. Then people will trust you more compared to others. - Build an online presence to show your work:
If you do many things but don’t show anything to your audience to prove your loyalty, you miss something big. I mean, you never build your personal branding. You have to show your skills, achievements, and proof of your work to your audience; then, people will trust you. Just keep in mind: people trust you with your truthfulness. So, build an online presence to showcase your skills and work to your customers. - Create a community:
When you see that some people trust you and your work, create a community. Let me give an example—do you know Andrew Tate? Okay, who doesn’t know “Top G,” right? I think he is one of the biggest online personalities ever. He has an immense personal brand that influences people. Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter banned his accounts, but people still recognize him through his massive community. His fan followers talk about him on their personal accounts. Now you know how a community can help you grow more. - Improve yourself consistently:
Always focus on enhancing your skills and staying relevant in your field.
So, the ultimate thing is personal branding not only helps you to increase your sales but also gives you an ultimate strength to make another business and you have a zero cost marketing policy.
